Castletown’s Express Lane Campaign named runner up in SCCA Marketing Awards

Castletown’s Express Lane marketing campaign was awarded Runner Up at the Shopping Centre Council of Australia (SCCA) Marketing Awards evening held in October.

Entering the retailer marketing category, the campaign was recognised for directly supporting retailers, driving sales and enhancing the centre’s business performance.

The Express Lane initiative was developed in response to insights from a GapMaps report, which identified thousands of workers commuting into Townsville’s CBD, located only minutes from Castletown. Leveraging this opportunity, the campaign was designed to connect these workers with retailers by providing a streamlined way to pre‑order food and services during their lunch break. The initiative brought together custom content, targeted digital advertising, and influencer engagement to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes for retail partners.

The campaign was spearheaded by Regional Marketing Manager, Kate Cavanagh-McGill, and creative direction was led by Brand and Design Manager, Sarah Butler.
